    Exactly. I wrote a long post yesterday about the relative prices vs costs of J, F etc but it vanished with Geoexpats idiosyncrasies.... Business and First are where they make (a lot) of their money. And freight of course!

    I believe actually most airlines have a 3-4-3 layout in their 777's. Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines are among the very few that currently configure their 777's in a 3-3-3 layout. Now, if you are referring to different wide bodies such as the A330 /A340 / A350 / A380 / B747 then it's a different matter as they can vary from as few as 8 across up to as many as 11 across in economy.

    My bad. Read your post too quickly.

    Interesting that they only mentioned going to 10 abreast on their Boeing aircraft. That hopefully means the A350 will stay at 9 abreast and the A330 at 8 abreast. However, that will create quite an inconsistency in economy class seating across the fleet.
