Listen to the Live ATC discussions between the pilots n air traffic control at the airport regarding some go around's, The pilots will be busy flying off and getting directions, altitudes, going through checklists etc they wont have time to tell passengers why they are going around and what caused the missed landing, you might be lucky and after landing have a pilot who will apologies and explain the delay but that is up to a NICE pilot doing it.

I was on an SQ flight into MAD and the plane pulled up at the very last moment and did a go around, the crew said there was a plane still on the runway beneath us!

Be happy you weren't on this flight - 6 go arounds.
