And this is what the crowds were like!

I keep seeing this thread pop up, and keep thinking it's asking for a holiday destination for someone who doesn't want to get drunk.

Any idea what the elevation gain is?

That's a pretty serious path! It's that built up for 17km?!

Crowds look awful, can you pass at all or must go at a snail's pace?

Just curious, do you fly 1st class on Chinese domestic flights?

I cannot recall the elevation gain, but it was not hard. I recall it as flat, but I think there was actually some flights of steps at the start and a gradual incline thereafter.

Yes, most of the paths in the park are wooded walkways - to protect the underlying delicate flora and fauna.

Yes, the crowds were horrendous. No, we couldn't overtake. Hence the decision to avoid the crowds. The waterfalls we saw with crowds were better than the ones in the picture - sorry couldn't find the really good photos@

No, I typically fly economy for short haul flights. But I do favour Dragonair, Cathay Dragon now, which often upgrades me.

It shall be anything but that.

BTW, just got back from Bali. Weather was great, 28, no humidity, sunny. Managed to stay away from the usual Bintang singlet-wearing Aussie riff raff. Wish I had a couple more days. Traffic was terrible though. I would suggest staying on which every side of Denpasar your hotel is on because trying to get from one side to another in a car is infuriating.
