    Booking bullet trains in China

    Hi

I am looking to book bullet train tickets from Shenzhen to Guilin.

Can anyone recommend a good website to do so? Not sure what the best way to do this is.

    Thank you

    You can try ctrip.com.hk
You have to collect the ticket from ticket counter.
Cancel or changes can be made only using ticket counter.

    ctrip or elong

They add 40 to he ticket price, then you need to pick it up at the train station

there are also agents who sell official tickets and print them on the spot for just 5 yuan surcharge
You just need to find one of those, saves you lot of time at the station.

China Travel Services at 78-83 Connaught Rd Central, Central.

Queing to pick tickets up at Shenzhen Bei can be a tedious, hot and long at the wrong time of day.

as others have mentioned before, ctrip is real good. i always get train, airplane tickets and hotels from ctrip. for high speed trains, you take east rail and go to lok ma chau, then switch to the red(?) line that goes to shen zhen north. i would suggest depart during weekdays. weekends are just too crowded.

Another vote for ctrip. Download the app and it's pretty simple.

I like the way they know your name when you call them. A nice touch.

In Shenzhen North Station when you go to pick up your tickets, you won't know which queue to go to (unless you can read Chinese). It's the one on the far left and will have the shortest queue. Or worst case, be a foreigner in the Mainland and just skip all the queues because you don't know better. And it doesn't take any time at all!

At Shenzhen North there are two ticket offices. From memory go to the right hand ticket office and the most left hand queue.
