    Visa for China

Hi all,Hopefully a simple question, but couldn't see anything on here. Apologies if this duplicates something previously. I am a British National/Passport holder living in HK with a current visa. Looking to get a visa for my first entry to China (I understand you have to get a couple before a multi-entry visa) and wanting to find the best way to apply. I've looked on a couple of websites, but couldn't find anything clear to understand. Can anyone recommend a website, or give me any information? Many thanks in advance.

Be careful of the Shenzhen border visa. It doesn't count as a first visa and wont let you get the multiple.

It depends on how much your time is worth - e.g. making 2 trips to the visa centre. I did it myself once and decided never to do it that way again.

    Permanent residents

Does anyone know why HK permanent residents have to get a China visa? Apart from the revenue issue of course. I mean the government keeps on about HK being an inalienable part of China, so perms should be classed as being an inalienable part of HK.

Thanks all. Found the fees etc. Notice that you get a double trip for the same price as a single trip. No brainer really.

Your other option (if you are a HK PR) is to get an APEC card.
