It's really sad. REALLY sad from a consumer competition perspective. In Hong Kong there is

    Cathay Pacific (owned by Swire)
Cathay Dragon (owned by Swire - previously Dragon Air)
Hong Kong Airlines (owned by HNA group)
Hong Kong Express (now owned by Swire)

so when Hong Kong Airlines goes down - it's Swire Swire Swire

In a Hong Kong Local spoken Accent: " DIS IZ HONGONG"
    - in this case the Air Transport Licensing Authority refused Jetstar Hong Kong's application for an operating license

The CX HK/Haneda route is just ridiculously expensive (especially on business class). Meanwhile, ANA and JAL are both doing great deals regularnow. Just booked a really great deal with ANA to Sapporo (via Haneda) for June and the fare is only $6600 on business class (compared to CX and HX for $5900 direct on economy class).
