My experience (appears to have taken a bit longer than previous poster's):
2nd March - Applied online
3rd March - Sent documents via DHL
7th March - Arrived in Newcastle
25th March - Documents received acknowledged (almost 3 weeks to acknowledge receipt?!)
4th April - Application Approved
9th April - Passport Printed
13th April - Tracked as shipment (passport) picked up by DHL (took them a few days to get around to actually sending the passport?!)
15th April - Arrived in HK
19th April - Delivered and signed for (seems it arrived in HK during Good Friday hence the local delay I'm assuming)
So there you go, 7 weeks from online application to receipt of new non-EU, UK passport as per previous poster's picture.
Sort of related...does anyone know how long you have to wait for family visas to be issued by VFS in QB once they have been approved by UKVI?
Back in 2019 I paid extra to get the premium/ express service or whatever it was. That went ok, I went to London to pick it up personally.
Took me about six weeks. Most of that time the application sat in the UK with no acknowledgement of receipt (except from my own courier).
Applying for an Irish passport right now. Time to get back in the EU
I was thinking of getting a Portugese passport for the same reason, but that's another topic.
