Just two weeks ago I thought I could afford a short trip to Japan in March. This morning all flight tickets increase by almost 3 folds! Sayonara...

We’ve had to pay more than double. Expect the costs to be such for at least 2023, certainly in/out of HK.

I’m cancelling my trip. Will see if 2024 will be any better but I have a feeling it’s not.

Thats a very good price for a 4 hr flight seems some people cant afford to go on a holiday LOL

HKExpress had some really cheap flights to Japan. Something like HKD$200 a leg. These are not normal prices...

Some of their flights leave at 1am or something crazy like that, so not practical for us dragging a 5 year around..

Used HKexpress to KIX and NRT to HKG. About hkd$5-6k return per person. Not crazy prices considering xmas period flight.

Skyscanner shows similar prices as BDW for most of March. Not sure how you can do 2 x 4/5 hour flights at HK$900. Lucky to get meblorune-sydney domestic flights at that price...
