Business visa is not complex, just get invitation letter from who ever they are visiting and fill in Business Visa, yes it does cost more but nothing complex, you just need to fill in your life history only in the application form they even ask Grandparent details LOL

This is indeed true. The tourist VISA was stopped few years back when we know what happended and since then has not resumed for the HKSAR passport holders. One of my friends has been trying to go to Indian for more than a year without any success. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon this year! Until then the oply option is to go via the business visa which is not an easy route.

My partner has a Hong Kong Passport but also has a BNO visa here in the UK, can you tell which Indian Visa should we apply for as there’s no option for a tourist or a evisa?

Why would you ask this on a forum for expats (i.e. non-HKers)?

You need to check with the Indian High Commission in London.

If you are flying to India from UK then use your BNO passport for visa application.

This .. next to impossible to get an Indian visitor visa with a HK passport but have had local friends with a BNO get tourist visas.

Don't know if they give business visas for HK / Chinese passports at the moment.. I think they do.

People of this forum, after a week long reading and researching of Indian Government Documents and liaising with The Indian High Commission, I have figured out the way to apply for Indian Visa for HKSARC Passport holders; you have to apply for a An Entry Visa under X-Miscellaneous category and submit your documents with all additional documents. Hope this helps to everyone stuck with this problem.

Best of luck.. the x-misc is a non trivial category.
