HK Bans Use of Powerbanks on Flights

Malaysia Airlines have announced that they will impose the same rule: powerbanks are not allowed in checked luggage, are not allowed in overhead bins, must be held on your body or in your hand or in the seat pocket, and are not allowed to be used during flight.

I was thinking of Malaysian airline companies, and my experiences in flying with them.

Before covid I once accidentally forgot my power bank in my check-in when flying outta Phuket as I was in a major rush. Got stopped at the gate to go down the stairs and take it out of my bag. Was quite impressed with 'em.

I don't think I've ever seen a functioning airplane usb charging port. Maybe in business class they work.

Emirates always work in economy.
