    Visa help

We a group travelling to Hong Kong by air, then crossing to Shenzhen for a few days. After which we return to Hong Kong to depart.

The party is made up of; 2 x British Passport Holders
    2 x Thai Passport Holders

    What visas do we need?
Are the requirements different for each Nationality?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Shri,

    Thank you for the pointers.

As I understand it the british PP holders can enter HK but need a visa to cross over into Shenzhen.

I am unsure as to if the Thai nationals require a visa for HK and then Mainland China and then to return to HK

Unfortunately The Thai site you gave me is well and truly googled, in that I cannot access it.

    Knowitall,

Was doing a search through that site as you both replied, don't suppose you have a recommendation for a medium hotel, keeping in mind our onward journey, (Location etc).

    Thanks guys,

    Hong Kong Visas

    http://www.immd.gov.hk/index.html

We put several bookings a month through for the Stanford hotel. While I've not checked it out myself, I've heard its "ok" for a US$65-75 range.

Higher up the range look at Wanchai / Causeway Bay / Mongkok Hotels.. just use the search form and find the appropriate price ranges.

    Thanks,

Hong Kong no problem for either party visa wise. Thai's 30 day on entry, Brits 180 days on entry

Shenzhen same visa for all, available before leaving Bangkok.

Stanford looks about right for the transit nights so thanks for your help.

Now if you can only lead me to cheap but reliable MP3 Players and Flash drives my life would be perfect.

Take a trip to Ap Liu Street in Mong Kong or at the Lo Wu shopping center in Shenzen.

    KnowItAll,

Should have made myself clear, was talking ex-manufacturer, not retail purchase.

    Hence HK & Shenzhen ;-)

    Many thanks, dog
