Shenzen

Hi,

I'm off to Shenzen and would like to stay the night. Does anyone have any recommendations? I would like something fairly nice and convieniently located. Thanks in advance.

Shenzhen is Massive, what do you plan to do there is the question.

Expat oriented nighlife is in Shek ou that is 1/2 hr away from Low hu.
Shopping is in Dongmen that is in Low Hu.

if you never been i would recommend you go with a friend. Stay at the Shangri la http://http://www.shangri-la.com/en/...zhen/shangrila it just across the border in low hu.

Covenient : shangri la Lo Wu (if you go with the KCR. is next to the trainstation)

Luxuary : the landmark (has personal butler service)

Clean and average price: Marco Polo in Futian (in the new area of shenzhen. accessible with the subway)


cheap : pretty much every local hotel

The Shangri-la hotel is o.k, in my opinion the Crowne Plaza hotel in Nanshan Crowne Plaza Hotel SHENZHEN Hotels | SHENZHEN | Welcome is a much better hotel, and has the V bar, which is a pretty happening place on a Saturday night, especially when they have a live international band on stage ...

Nanshan district where C Mall is located, is 15 minutes from Shekou where most of the western eateries and an Irish pub are, and it's 15 minutes from down town Lo Wu. About as convenient as you'll find, now that the subway is in operation, and taxi's are inexpensive, about $50RMB to Shekou or Lo Wu from Nanshan district.
