New York Times magazine / Skiing in China

My name's Mark Ellwood and I'm a NYC-based New York Times journalist.

I'm working on a story about skiing in China as the new leisure pursuit and am keen to interview anyone who's tried any of China's new ski resorts, or works in the ski industry, or even has any comments or suggestions.

I'd welcome any and all information: you can reach me at MARK DOT ELLWOOD AT GMAIL DOT COM. Thanks very much in advance

I think that most of the locals go to Korea for skiing............

your options from HK are Harbin, Japan or Korea I think. None of which are particularly convenient if you only have the weekend to play with. Most people I know in HK work long hours, 6 days a week and would probably prefer to get away from HK in the summer.. to a beach.

I love the snow and I'll head up to Harbin as soon as the weather and work schecdule permits.
