    Ways to travel to Macau?

Coming to HK next week for half business and half pleasure, never been to macau before and definetly wanted to take a visit to the casinos.

ive tried to understand the transport systems as to how to get there from Kowloon but its too confusing and i cant seem to find any prices?

can anybody recommend a good way to get a return trip to Macau? ive heard travel by sea is usually the best? but i have no idea where to look.

Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks

If you are pretty flush, go by helicopter.

Note that when exiting the Macau ferry terminal all the main casinos have free buses lined up to transport you in air conditioned comfort.

The City of Dreams complex on The Cotai strip has just opened ( pushing a visit to it as my upcoming birthday surprise ) and its just a walk over the road to the Venitian. Both have direct bus links OR if you finish your trip there, remember there is a ferry service back to HK from the strip rather than come back to the main terminal.

    thanks for the advice guys

Boris if you mention that there is a ferry service straight back to HK from the strip then would that same service be available going out from HK? e.g. going from HK staight to the strip?

if so what is the name & cost of this service? thanks

    CotaiJet.

It costs about the same as the Turbojet sailings.

The Macau ferry terminal isn't exactly at "the strip" but if it is a short bus, taxi or shuttle trip from most places in Macau as it is not that big a place.

The Cotai and Venetian are on Taipa (island) are they not but if you are or touring the village area, it is a cheap taxi ride to the terminal.

Buses are cheap and easy there too and most locals will tell you which to take.

I am not sure which one but you can go into a casino and gamble at the slots for an hour (very slowly) and about HK$150 lost chips later you can be a VIP and get the boat home free. I can't recall which one but my business partner did it and thought he was brilliant until we noted that the ferry fee was less than what he lost and who needed to waste the hour if you really didn't want to gamble.

Check out the maps for Macau and Taipa.
