Further you mentioned Singapore, Japan, South Korea etc.

If you have not realized how much Japan have copied from west you must be stupid!

    Car industry

but that is more to do with the natural evolution of a country. in case you do not remember, alot of Japan was bombed to the ground after WWII and it was certainly not a developed country at the time.

the same with China now. if the people do not have wealth and education of a developed country then they can hardly based their industry on technology and innovation.

in fact you will find that when China was developed compared to the rest of the world, they invented gunpowder, paper, the compass etc. and this was copied by the later empires/countries.

You may also have noticed that now Japan's development as a country is on a par with the west, they have offered a large number of innovations which have been copied by the west as well.

I believe there will be a time in the near future, when it will be the west copying from China and Hong Kong again.

i do agree that a lot of mainland chinese and HKgers do copy western trends which is due to social trends. The USA and the west is the rich, glamorous, successful side of the world, and when that is the view you have growing up, you will obviously try to emulate and aspire to be more "western".

So you mean that you as a half HK-boy are objective? I am aware of what China and Japan have developed, but I think u can hardly compare with the western world. That is more of a fact. It seems that you are more finding excuses than look at the real truth. One Hong Kong person said to me when I told that Leonardo Da Vinci invented the helicopter, that acctually it was the Chinese that made it since there is a toy you can through up in the air. These explanation is to be honest very far-fetched. What about The Egyptian, The Greek, Kartago, The Romans, The explorer that came to this continent and ruled? Now it is more of that you tell me a Utopia of what the East Asia couldn't achieve.

For the 0.005% chance that you are serious about this stuff, have actually met anyone in your life agreeing with you on this outside of your anonymity on a message board? Your lack of knowledge on worldly affairs is stunning and very amusing for people here. I mean ALL of the people who read any of your threads think your a total whackjob, and yet you permit people laughing with you by making new threads. My god you love punishment.

Note my comment on another thread. He has been very busy on here since the primary schools closed so I am suggesting he is an 11 year old. That would explain his almost total lack of knowledge.

You mean because in a communist society people have leisure all the time? What do you mean "this will never happen"?? My ex-wife was living the communist way: While I was out working my ass off, she was staying home blogging, watching television, or sleeping. When I came home I had to take care of household chores (cleaning the house, ironing [including her own clothes of course], etc.), while she was ... blogging, watching television, or sleeping. Then the week-end I had to entertain her, because she was bored.

The only thing she did very consistently was whining that things were not the way she wanted them to be. While of course doing nothing to change them except ... blogging, watching television, or sleeping.

And the sex was crap too!
