You forgot to respond on your "Seoul To North Korea" and "HK is Dangerous" threads, please respond there before jumping on new topics we can discuss in a thoughtful way.

Debbie: Are you the dying kid?
    Griff: I, uh... I, um...
Debbie: You stutter too? Could you have worse luck? Oh well, at least you wont have to deal with it in high school.

there is no true freedom anywhere in the world because we all have to live under laws and social norms which we do not always agree with...

    e.g.
having to wear clothes when we go out
having to be at work by a particular time
having to wait for the green light before crossing
having to go one way down a one way road
    having to pay tax
    having to queue up
    etc. etc.

    With your thinking...

it would not matter if all people would be mass-murderer´s then. Are you sure you really would say the same: "we all have to live under laws and social norms which we do not always agree with..."?

This is the fact. China and Hong Kong is now similar to how England was during Charles Dickens age, i.e. hardly something to be proud of. Dictatorship combined with overexploited capitalism. The development of China is to me only a trick to calm a worriedly society.

Well at least in your favourite holiday destination they don't have this problem - no freedom and nothing to buy.

I'm going to go out on a limb and agree with Mircolan for the first time in my life.

HK is a lot better but China, definitely seems to have no intention of granting their people real freedoms beyond the ability to spend as much money as they can/want.
