Question shenzhen airport to Hong Kong downtown

What is the quickest/easiest way to get to (and from) Shenzhen airport from HK? I'd like to compare the air ticket price difference from HK airport and Shenzhen vs convenience and travel time. thanks!

    The quickest way?

Get a ferry from the Ferry terminal at Shun Tak center in Sheung Wan to Fu Yong ferry terminal in Shenzhen (which is 5 mins away from Shenzhen airport by a free shuttle bus).

    The details...check them out here...

the fare is HK$189 one way, you can work out the savings yourself...

Max, thanks! Sheung Wan ferry terminal is only a few stops away on my MTR line and if the ferry trip is really only 55 min (according to the link) then the Shenzhen airport is really quick to get to.

can you tell if there are queues in the immigration at Shenzhen ferry terminal? if I will need to take a plane from Shenzhen airport i'll have to factor in the immigration queues.

since I will be flying to a destination in China i will have the China visa already.

Depends on when you're departing. If you travel during peak hours then there will be some queues, but the ones at the ferry terminal are generally pretty quick and you should be able through in 15-20 minutes if you have all the necessary travel documents ready.

The ones at the airport in Shenzhen are not as crowded as the ones in HK as comparatively fewer people travel by air from Shenzhen. But factor in at least half an hour to get through immigration queues if you're taking a regional flight.

Again, the earlier you go, the better. Have a safe trip.

I did the ferry from China Ferry Terminal in Kowloon. I bought my tickets from CTS and saved 40%

CTS = China Travel Services. It is a travel agent. There are many branches all over Hong Kong. Here is their website: http://www.chinatravel1.com/english/aboutus/local.htm
