can somebody tell me if there is a monthly pass available for travel by MTR and by ferry also. from tst to wanchai which would be better?

In general no. Some ferry routes do have monthly tickets specifically for that route. The cheapest way to get from TST to Wanchai is clearly on the Star Ferry - $2 per trip vs about $10 on the MTR.

A monthly ticket for the Star Ferry (valid on the TST-Central and TST-Wanchai routes only) is HK$115. The individual journey fare for TST-Wanchai is $2.30 M-F and $2.50 weekends and public holidays.
If you are only doing one journey each way 5 days per week then it is slightly cheaper for you just to pay for each individual journey.
There is no monthly pass available on the MTR for journeys between TST and Wanchai. The individual journey cost is $7.7 using an Octopus card or $8.5 buying tickets individually.Last edited by PDLM; 26-07-2009 at 07:20 PM.
