I'm hoping to be in Hong Kong early 2010, and would love company.
I'm original from HK but now live abroad.

Fancy joining me to see the nature areas of the New Territories, the islands and maybe south China?

I'm up to seeing anything in the countryside in north Hong Kong (New Territories) as long as it can be accessed by the local bus/underground. I saw some lovely lakes on the east and west of the map of HK, and oh I'm very interested in seeing the traditional town/boating communities. I think there's also some great Asian history museums I'd love to visit..anything very cultural and significantly beautiful!

I could be interested in visiting south China (Guilin, Yanghuo, Kunming, Dali and Lijiang) too, but could leave it until 2011.

Yes I would definately like to see Guilin...over Kunming.
Please look up what tours or cheap way to travel to these 2 places..
I don't think they can be done individually on a weekend as you suggested.
