Need advise for my hong kong trip

Hi, I will be going to hong kong and macau this march 2010 for 6 days 5 nights. I already plan which place to go but i duno which place to go for shopping. Here is my plan:-

Day 1 (Sunday)- check in hotel - the peak - madame tussauds- avenue of stars - tsim sha tsui east waterfront (the symphony of light show) -
still wonder should i go for harbour cruise?

Day 2 (Monday)- Ngong Ping 360 - giant buddha - po lin monastery - wisdom path - still wonder should i go for Tai O?

Day 3 (Tuesday) - Hong Kong Disneyland

Day 4 (Wednesday) - Ocean Park

Day 5 (Thursday) - Macau (still duno where to go yet)

Can anyone suggest where to eat special food in hong kong and recommend where to go for shopping ? How should i plan for it. As well as for Macau. Thanks

If you don't go to Tai O then you can combine the Monday and Tuesday into one day if you start at the cable car when it opens. Disneyland really only needs 3 or 4 hours to comfortably see everything, and you want to finish with the fireworks, so getting there at about 3pm would be fine. Ocean Park does need at least a full day if you want to see everything and go on a few rides.

The Start Ferry Harbour Cruise is a waste of money. You can go along the harbour for a fraction of the cost just by getting the normal Star Ferry between Central and Hung Hom.

For "special food" some indication of your budget and preferred cuisines would be good (and also if you're in a group or alone) - you can spend from HK$15 to HK$5000 on a meal here.

Thanks. I heard they said have to spend a whole day in disneyland. Is really a good point and make me change my mind not to go for star ferry harbour cruise.

hihi..agree with PDLM that u dont need a full day in disneyland..but will you consider staying in the disneyland hotel for one night? it's quite nice esp if you are coming with ur gf/bf or children.
btw unless u are a big fan of disney or not yet been to others (LA or orlando, tokyo etc)..HK one is really small and nothing special..pls dont expect any...

I agree that you will not be missing much and saving time by skipping HK Disney. Wait a few years and go to the one in Shanghai or, for the real deal, go to the ones in California or Orlando.

It will free up some time for other things.

Shopping is easy...everywhere from Causeway Bay to Tsimshatsui to Mongkok. Same for eating...all kinds of food everywhere. All depends on what you want to buy and eat.
