Seoul trip - recommendation

Hi there,
I am planning to go to Seoul for a short trip next month (prior to Xmas). Yup..will be on my own...need a short break from the crazy work life
Anyone has recommendation about the hotel? Am not picky, just want one that is clean and safe (close to the metro etc)....
Any experience to share will be much appreciated. PM me if needed.

hihi..i am going alone and not joining any tour though can't speak or read any korean at all.

Hi, joljon, I stayed at the Sejong hotel in the Myeongdong area last week. The airport limousine bus drops off right outside (bus 6001 or 6015) and the subway station is just a few feet from the entrance. My friend booked our stay: it worked out to about $2600 HK per person for five nights, Sunday-Thursday. I think Sunday night was a little pricier than the other four nights.
The room was clean but a bit old (carpet needed replacing; bathroom wall was peeling). Concierge was very helpful and spoke English, and we were just a couple of blocks from the the main shopping area.

thank you so much Devila!! you are so nice.. i thought no one is going to reply my post at all~ is seoul not a popular place? anyway. i have thought about doing this for long time and finally made up my mind.

yup..i checked couple of websites. but seriously sometimes i found the comment is probably more like an ad..just too fake.
will check out the one that you mentioned..seems quite cheap.
