Take a chance on hotels in HK?

A good friend is visiting in 2 weeks. We have room for her to stay with us, and she's happy to, however, we have cats, which she's allergic to. It is entirely possible that she'll be fine though, since we now have hardwood floors, and an amazing helper that keeps everything ridiculously cat-hair-free.

We're hoping she can just stay with us and save the money, and not be bothered by the cats.

But, if she's having a problem, will she have a hard time booking a decent (not fancy, not a hole-in-the-wall) hotel on very short notice?

The majority of cat allergies are caused by the dandruff, dried saliva etc, not the fur itself so ... if you stock up on a supply of antihistamines, that will last the duration of your friends stay, you/she should be pretty right.

    Just in case....
The Wesley hotel might hit the spot for around $550 - $850 a night, depending on the off/on peak rate.

thanks for the suggestions- do you think they'll have availability? or do we need to look into booking ahead?

Prices are often cheaper if you can book in advance.

I'd never heard of them before. But this seems a bit unfortunate for Phil Whelan?

Excellent I think we should get that as part of the next FCC Wall Exhibition.
