I was thinking of heading down to the ferry terminal tomorrow to fill out whatever paperwork is required for the faster Macau e-channel. Anyone done this? How long did it take, how long were the lines, etc.?

No paperwork. Just use the self-enrolment kiosks. Takes five days for processing. There are supposed to be staff from the ImmD to assist.
yes i did it last sat -
there is a self enrollemnt kiosk where you swipe your hkid and give your fingerprints -on screen instructions -takes less than 2 minutes
its located just past the HK immigration gates so you need to be going to macau to do it as you cannot get into this area withoutn a ticket
need to wait 5 days for the process to go through and be able to use the autogates on the macau side
Is it not clear from hongkong7's response that it is at the Macau Ferry terminal on the far side of the HK (outbound) immigration?
I wouldn't trust the Macau authorities with my fingerprints, since they have a habit of refusing entry to HK democratic lawmakers etc. They're just an arm of the mainland government.
i did my registration at the Mascau ferry terminal at Sheung wan -the registration point is located in the restricted area past HK immigration counter- so you need to be an outbound passenger to do it -no queue
What about at the China ferry terminal in TST for registering?
