    Getting to Macau airport?

I'm flying from Macau next week (hand luggage only).

What would be the best (and most economical) to get there?

Ferry to Macau and then bus? - If so, which bus or just take a taxi (I'm guessing that would be about a 80 MOP ride).

Ferry to Cotai and then a taxi / bus? - Again, are there buses from Cotai to the airport?

Can I check in at Macau Ferry Terminal in SW, or is that only for certain airlines (I'm flying with Air Asia).

Also, is there an airport tax from Macau?

Are the above the only options I have, or are there any other options?

    Thanks!

From the Cotai ferry you can just WALK to the airport...less than 1KM

Cheers, may probably do the Cotai jet option, also I presume immigration will be a lot less for this.

I have found this as well:

[Macau International Airport] - Airport Accessibility - Express Link Sea-to-Air Flow

    Anyone tried it?

My flight is at 2pm, so I could get the 11.50 bus.

All passenger over 2years of age departing from Macao International Airport are subject to a departure tax of MOP 90 and airport fees of Mop 20, regardless of destination.
Don't know whether this is the most recent information though.

If you go to the main ferry terminal with turbojet or first ferry, you can then catch the AP1 airport bus for around MOP7 to the airport. Takes around 20-30 minutes. If you walk from Cotai ferry, there's not much of a sidewalk in places.

I'm pretty sure the airport tax was included in my ticket the last time I flew from Macau. You can see it on the receipt if you are flying AirAsia.

For the 'express link', there is a HKD 55.00 charge.

    The easiest way is:
Ferry to Cotai and then either walk, Taxi (13 MOP) or AP1 (1 stop, 2 minutes, 3.20 MOP/HKD). If you have only small luggage, it is easily walkable in under 10 minutes. If you take the bridge to the departure area the sidewalk is pretty good.

The airport tax is included in the ticket price.

Most economical way...get a free players card at either the Sands or Venetian casino and then you can get a free ferry ticket from HK to Taipa Island (via Cotai Ferry). Then you can walk from Ferry terminal to the airport (like someone said here, less than 1km)...and on your way back, spend a few hours in the Sands or Venetian playing and then get another free ticket back to HK.....just hope its your lucky day....bring some good luck charm if you do go to the casinos...
