I'm not planning another ski trip, however, I've just been to Myoko Kogen in Japan. It has the best skiing!! It's definitely worth a visit I promise!! Check out myokosnowsports.com for rental and lessons, they we so helpful and are english speaking.

Am heading over in Feb for a week.
Am going to Shinga Kogen by Nagano. Does anyone have any recomendations? Advice?

Also, I dont want to stay in a super expensive hotel, but limited options for backpackers and hostels..
    Any recommendations on that area?

Has anyone tried Slope Infinity? That indoor snowboarding rotating mat thing in North Point?
Also, if anyone is heading to the snow, go to Stanley markets, find a shop called Sun and Moon, they are pretty massive.
They are selling heaps of snowboarding and snow clothes super cheap..
Bought some 10,000 waterproof snowboarding pants for $150..
    Cheers
