    Went there on the weekend.

Massive fail. Don't waste your time going.

Queues were stupid long, for example the UAE pavilion was about a 6 hour wait.

I don't know, but there were people lining up.

I wouldn't wait more than 1 hour for a pavilion (that is probably why I didn't get to go into many).

Some sort of fascination with places where you cannot vote, where rule of law is a joke and where expats enjoy life as second-class citizens. I guess.

went there earlier this month. China, Japan, Korea, Germany, France , Saudi Arabia, are ridiculously long waiting times. Didnt even bother to wait there. We had our 3 year old son so most countries had special lines for kids and Elderly so could just walk in.

some real nice pavilions were Mexico, Chile, Spain, England, Holland.

It is disorganized and lines can be killing. If u dont use the metro or the expo taxis u have to walk a lot just to get in.

Food is good as so much choice but again lines are long u can be waiting in some places upto an hour just to order

Some of us have been wondering about that since page 1 of this thread.

is it as simple as going intoa building and looking at photos and videos of a country?

if so, what the hell's the point? for the time it takes to queue, you might as well hop on a plane.

is it just a load of adverts? it sounds truly hellish!

I've been there, work-related, so didn't have to queue. I can tell you that even without queuing I didn't see anything that's worth seeing, it was probably absolute hell for the people waiting in these huge queues. Just nice looking buildings on the outside with what's basically a photo display inside. I really have to wonder what people are so excited for going there, shows what kind of influence media can have in blowing up a non-event.
