When is it again? Someone PM your number. So when I show up, I know that I'm meeting the right people.

From what I gathered during the few days I was there on my previous trip, Kowloon Tong is a quiet, green, residential neighbourhood with a couple of nice parks. It also has a large mall called Festival Walk with a big supermarket oriented towards western and Japanese (but not Indian) expats. It is about 25 min or so from central.

I mainly chose Kowloon Tong out of convenience as I am going to be working there. While it is cheaper than HK island, it is still not inexpensive and 10k will probably only be sufficient for a 500 sq ft apt (extrapolating from my rent). From my searches on squarefoot and gohome, Tung Chung and the Gold Coast seem to have good apts within that budget and I have heard that many Indians live there so they might be an option for you to consider.

Hi RKG! Can’t make your Aug 7th outing but would be lovely to meet up sometime as I LOVE food and trying new restaurants too (and pretty much anything fun, sporty, different, social...). 35, Canadian, just moved from England with British hubby. Let me know if you’d like to arrange something!

    Hello,

I've been here a while but so many people leave that I'm always up for making new friends!

    Anything going on next week?

I would love to join in on the 7th too, always happy to meet new people. New Zealander of indeterminate age, I am regularly in HK (and will be that week) So it is drinks in the outdoor area of the Pawn bar from 8pm?

We are not living in HK just yet but it looks like we will be moving there early next year. Spending way too much time on these forum's trying to figure out how to make the transition. It will be great to talk to some others who have gone/are going through, the same thing.

    Looking forward to it

OK, that time is almost here. I just wanted to make sure that on the 7th Saturday is still on. I don't want to show up and no one is there.

    Let me know. Thanks
