    shhhhh everyone is still sleeping...

    Haha

It was GREAT! The Royal Chigger reared another appearance. The views sucked with fog sadly. But, what an adventure in the dark.

There was a few tough portions where rain was falling and thunder was crashing right over our heads/lightning not far away. But, we survived and made it.

    Highlights:

We waited for like 30 minutes for a taxi and even called the taxi company, but they had no taxi's to send us. So we were a little worried. Then this private mini bus pulled in to park so we managed to offer him a nice sum of money to drive him and he took it.

Upon arrival of the start point there was a group of about 10 locals standing around with their eyes halfway out of their heads that a group of us were arriving in a bus. They were too scared to do the hike so they were going back home. Us on the other hand started going up right away.

We ran in to a fair bit of wildlife at the top, including the worlds longest worms, a rat, leeches, grasshoppers and a stick bug.

Someone left a surprise at the top for future visitors, but you need to go up and find it yourself if you want to know what it is.

I hope that is not the kind of surprise one leaves when there is no toilet facilities around ....

Sounds like a great adventure, next time I'd like to come along! Now I only saw it last night, bit late to mentally prepare, leave alone phisically.

slept like a log, just wake up to get some food and water, and will sleep again soon...

It was a tough tough route ever, I am so proud of the girls, although we kept saying we're going to die, we still finished it finally. thanks for the patience gentlemen and of course chris, thanks for organising this.

    some other highlights:
Basically there was dense fog covering the whole mountain throughout the night, we can hardly see anything which make us feel we are the only people in the world, bear in mind the big buddha is just next to us, make the place more consecrated.

Due to the poor visibility, we communicate to each other by flashing the touch light in our hands, look like morse code but nobody understand, but at least let other know we are still alive.

As chigger have said, it was absolutely a good chance to experience the wildlife in hk which is not common in this concrete city.
