Well summed up LC but you didnt mention the time and venue for the meetup? It is still on right?
brooklyn... I was going to argue with you and then at the end of the post you said you liked me. That was some skillful manouvering!
In all honesty... I don't think it's anyone's business how old your wife is.
I also don't find the idea of a 16 yr old girl with a 22 yr old guy that odd... Where I come from, when you turn 16 you go out and get a part time job (while you study, except for those who have stopped studying) and you start to pay your own way. You definitely start to grow up.
So I don't see 16 as the age of being such a young innocent child. I realise in HK that's a lot different. In HK... Well - most of my unmarried colleagues (many in their 30s) still live with their parents and have their mums treat them like children. So it's a whole different world here. In fact, I know 30 yr olds who I wouldn't trust to look after themselves for a week! Conversely, my dad moved out aged 16 and fended for himself from then on. He still managed to get himself through university in that situation - so it's a whole different world.
I'm not talking about OP in particular, but the general notion of a 16 yr old with a 22 yr old. It isn't necessarily that bad.
I think it was the 25 year old that got the thing going. Who also hasn't dared to come back to defend himself!
oops... I shouldn't have posted. Just realised LC closed the thread!
I think because I went to a rubbishy school without a 6th form, where most people didn't even go on to do A-levels, I have a different view of the age 16. In that environment, people grew up pretty fast (Come to think of it - most of them just never grew up)
Good point JJ, both my brother and sister left school at 16 (hardly dunces - both are derivative traders in London).
