    All roads lead to Mui Wo; people on 4 hour stopvers have been there-the best kebab and pizza, Wellcome and Park N Shop on the south of Lantau are there-the world reknowned 'Toilet Bar' is there-HK's only silver mine is there-and most importantly;
    I'll be there till the end of the month.
    How does one get to Mui Wo from Central HK?

    There is a ferry service to Mui Wo from the Central Ferry Piers...only about 30mins.

    Just a quick intro.

    Am gonna be in HK for 2 mths for business from next week onwards, no friends to speak of (except 1 and he's married!) and would like to have company for any sightseeing!

    This 'island-hopping' thread seems godsend to me, but is there any plans for the next few weeks?

    Pls msn / email me at

    [email protected]

    if u guys/gals got anything planned!!

    Hi Chomperz,

    oh, too late to see this post. Such a pity! Seems like I should check the forum more frequently so as not to miss out the fun.

    When are you planning to go on a day trip/hike next time? I love hiking a lot and am keen on exploring Hong Kong. Just moved here less than two months ago.

    How does one, from Central, get to the beaches in the New Territories, particularly those in Sai Kung and the surrounding areas? I hear those are gorgeous.

    Mtr

    You can take a bus (9 I think) or MTR to Heng Fa Chuen, then take a Mini-bus to the front of Dragon Back.

    there could be other ways tho...
