Get use to live in HK

Hi all, I am a native Cantonese speaker and live in Tin Hau (actually it is a bit near to Fortress Hill). As I want to practice my English, I am looking for native speaking people who needs to be helped to settle down living in HK (Tin Hau and Fortress Hill) for finding a flat, get to know the facilities and everything in the district. I am a housewife and have free time in the day times during weekdays (female only please).

OK - since you want to improve your English, the correct usage of "use" in the title of your post is "Getting used to living in Hong Kong" Or you could try "Getting used to life in HK" (note life not live).

There you go. Free English lesson.

"native speaking people" sound little weird- native speakers of English or English native speakers; "who need", "getting to know".
The phrasing/syntax is a direct transliteration from Cantonese to English, so you might want to work on that.

    Hi,

I relocated here 2 days ago from Perth with my husband (I am originally from Singapore), and we're looking to move into Tin Hau area. We've been to Tin Hau today, and we really liked what we saw! Hopefully we'll be able to get an apartment there, and also make your acquaintance! Do write to me, it'll be lovely to explore Tin Hau with someone who knows the ropes! - Linda

    Dudsy,

    Why Tin Hau?

Good luck on your move. Make sure everything works and no water leaks before you pay deposit.

Welcome to the neighbourhood! It's quite nice. I like living there for its convenience. 😊

    Hey Booth,

My husband is working near Quarry Bay/Tai Koo, so we were originally interested in moving into Grand Promenade, but after looking at a few apartments, we feel that its a tad too small for us, anything less than 700 sq ft won't do - we have so much stuff coming, need more room for storage! - yet at the same time we need to stick to the budget we've set for rent. Its a tough one.. we went to look at a few places in Tin Hau, and we really like the neighbourhood; plenty of eateries, near to MTR.

We'll be looking at apartments in Causeway Bay and Wanchai this week, so hopefully we'll find something that suits! Any recommendations on which neighbourhoods to live in? We like places that are filled with yummy food and near the blue line on the MTR

Thanks Lingc! I'm hoping to find something in the next couple of weeks! Currently staying in a Wan Chai service apartment, will be here till end of August. How long have you been staying there for?
