Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for people attending cultural events, but not if it is going to bring on the douche apocalypse!
Sorry to say this bro, but half of the HK locals dont even take the pride to admit they are HKnese - they always claim to be from "UK, Canada, Australia etc" even though they would have just stayed there for few years only. Which culture are your trying to preserve? They take the pride to "adopt" exactly what you are against!

Not sure about art galleries, but for movies you can also check out the regular movie programmes from HK Film Archive.

The grand cinema sometimes has special screenings as well, but not as often as before.

Art galleries there's you know like UFO Gallery, MadHouse, Ooi Botos, No Borders, 10 Chancery... like... Connoisseur Contemporary.

(I, like, caught a few minutes of that ghastly, like, tv show "Gallery Girls". Talk about, like, vacuous, like, lives... not that mine is particularly filled, like you know, with 360 degrees excitement. )

I said that because I did go to an art meetup event and I didn't enjoy it.
It was a socializing event disguised in a fake-ish arty hipster event.
Useless. And who needs other people when you're visit a gallery of a particular someone's work? How would that be all about me?

thanks for the meet up groups. I think I will check it out. It is fine to go with a lot of people first, you can always visit again alone.

Anyhow, I found this art guide book today it's called "art map-gallery guide 2013". which has all the informations of all the galleries and museums on it. You can purchase it from the kubrick book store.

Would using my nickname and speak about myself at the third person be a better option? *rolleye*
Of course I used "I", I was talking about my experience. And I wouldn't talk when not knowing.

The OP seems to be happy with the suggestions here in this thread. That's what counts:-)

Interesting thought. So a post that or OP starts is only meant to be for the OP?

it's an irrelevant argument. The guidebook I mentioned was great. It solved my problem. hope it solve yours. I don't want this to be a meaningless internet bullying. Please leave her alone, and keep your opinion to yourself.
