Hello I just started working here recently, is this thread still alive? Keen on finding some doto buddies or watch some TI together xD. Dota here seems irrelevant, finding dota players feels like digging for treasure

On the HK subreddit we've been trying to get people together to watch TI for the past 4 years. Never happens as the timing is at like 4am and once people's favorite team gets knocked out, they won't want to go.

The TI or the internationals is the biggest tournament of the year for dota 2, where all teams from around the world get together and play to be the best. Their prize pool is also the biggest out of all esports if I'm not mistaken.

Over $20million usd which is the biggest in esports and I believe 3rd or 4th biggest in all sports

There is the option to go to an Internet Cafe like ionenet. It should be able to hold at least 20 people and some of them should even be able to accommodate like 50 people. The PCs have decent specs and the rates are like 10-12hkd/hr. The locations are convenient - CWB, WanChai, Sai Ying Poon. The ambiance isn't exceptional but it could be a start.
