i just moved here from chicago, and know absolutely no one my own age. i'm living with my cousin in soho/midlevels, and have been going out with her friends (late 30s)... needless to say, it would be a nice change to meet some people a bit younger.

i just completed my bachelor's in fine arts, and am working as an au pair before i figure out what i want to do next.

i'd love to meet other artist types that can show me around or to explore with...

artist type.. well, i guess people that are interested in creative thoughts or visual arts (painting, sculpture, drawing, design, printmaking, etc).

i'm obviously not limiting myself to artists, but i thought it would be nice to meet some people that were interested in visual arts and that would like to go to gallery openings and what not.

I have a friend who did fine art at Rutgers in NJ who is currently working for a local magazine and visits galleries all the time. I'm sure she'd be happy to hang out with you! I like art myself, but I don't know all that much about it (although I don't have any paintings of dogs playing poker up).
