hey, have you tried this plan before?? is it really possible?? it seems pretty tight to do both dolphin watching and hiking in Sai Kung in one day.

the two places are pretty far away ... and dolphin watching cruise is gonna take a few hours at least.

Agreed hence the proviso that Sai Kung portion is changeable, Dolphin Watchign is the important bit but admittedly HK observatory is predicting rain - shouldn't make too much difference but I better check before Sunday morning

Great I just spoke to the lovely Jessica at Dolphin Watch (2984 1414) this Sunday they are actually having an afternoon rather than a morning trip leaving at 12:30 from Kowloon Hotel. Already at 21/38 of capacity and expect to book up quickly although they will also open up an additional morning trip at 09:00am on Sunday if numbers warrant this.

Alternatively a charter can be secured for 8580 HKD (38 people max) which is more cost effective if so many people are going less so if we're lookinh at less than 25. In addition they will only cancel if their is a typhoon or rainstorm warning.

This ultimately means I really should make a reservation by EOD Wednesday - sorry to be pushy guys/gals!

    So far confirmed we have;
    RaveninHK
    Tomoe
    Alphacat
    Squid1
    Itssammy
    Henryhg
    XJhay
    Cindee

    I want to go
    Pls add me in

    so the costs for 1 person is 8580 / 38 = 225. 79
so we will need to pay for dinner and drinks
is there any other costs we should incure too?

    Hi LL,
the actual cost is $360 HKD per adult which is the non charter cost (charter is dependent on how many people turn up). Thsi and further details are available here... Hong Kong Dolphinwatch Limited

Hello all, I will need to reserve places before EOD Tomorrow, if there are not enough places still available I can open the thread back up again (more than 30 people should be enough to make a morning trip possible).

If you fancy coming along to try some dolphin spotting/watching on Sunday please post asap (definites only please!), kindest regards, Squid1
