Exclamation Looking for a DJ job in Honkong in July 2010

Hi, I'm an 19yrs old female French DJ visiting HK for a month in July, I have previously played many times in Australia, which is where I live. I am not bringing my own equipment, but if you know any club that is interested in playing filthy techno/ dirty electro and has 2 CDJs and a 2 to 4 channels mixer, I would love to play whenever, for whatever price.
    Cheers,
    Lsquid a.k.a Luce

Are you able to work in Hong Kong without an employment visa? That is, are you are permanent resident of Hong Kong?

hm, not sure about this, I am only visiting and do not need a tourist visa as I hold a french passport. But what happened in Australia before I had a working visa was that people paid me in cash. HK might be less dodgy though.

Hate to break this to you. You're given a visa on arrival. You cannot enter HK without a visa of some sort or the other, unless you're a permanent resident.

A French passport does not entitle to you anything in HK, other than perhaps having a slightly larger than normal sense of entitlement.

It is illegal to work on any visa type, other than an Employment visa of some sort or a dependant's visa.

Any promoter or club that hires you runs the risk of heavy fines and jail time for the owner / director. You on the other hand run the risk of not getting paid or being arrested and deported.

Is it worth it for a few dollars?

    Shri,
What I meant is with the french passport I do not need to apply for a tourist visa as it is delivered to me on arrival.
However, I am looking for possible jobs now to see if I will apply to a working holiday visa or not

Working holiday visa, unfortunately does not apply to French nationals.

    Here's the quota.

    Code:
    Australia (annual quota = 1000)

    Canada (annual quota = 200)

    Germany (annual quota = 100)

    Ireland (annual quota = 100)

    Japan (annual quota = 250)

New Zealand (annual quota = 400)
