personally, i think it would be a royal pain in the butt to have to go through immigration every single day, twice! and think how fast you would o through your passport pages! yikes!
have you ever gone through the Lo Wu immigration the day before a public holiday???/
literally hundreds of thousands of people trying to make their way across!
Hi,
Will China Immigration stamp every day on the passport? In singapore you can carry green card and enter singapore without hassle if you are on work permit. Is there such system in HK/China border? Reply appreciated.

Considering the travelling cost from/to Shezhen daily would be at least $2.000 per month, you can think about moving there. If you would really miss the life in Hong Kong, you can always come back to hong Kong during weekends. And to your question, no, only if you've been in Hong Kong long enough (7 years) so you can get a HK id and a card to go across the border. Otherwise you still have to carry you passport with you everyday.

I cannot live in Shenzhen due to immigration laws. I cannot work more than 183 days in a year in China. Hence, I have no option but to live in HK and work in Shenzhen.
Thanks.

No offence dude but how is that possible.
You get a visa to work in China but the government won't let you stay in China while you work there??
Might wanna doublecheck that one.
If you are not legally employed in China then you must be legally employed in HK, in which case you will need a HK Employment Visa. You can't do what you suggest without an Employment Visa from either HK or China.
Thanks for the confusion. I am expected to have a HK based job visa and visit Shenzhen on daily basis. There is no illegal activities proposed. Further, I understand that we can use the smart ID card to cross over to China without using the passport. Can some one correct me if I am wrong. I got this information from HK immigration site.

If you are a permanent resident then you can exit (& re-enter HK) without a passport (but even then, if you are not a Chinese Citizen you need your passport to enter and exit China, this being a separate thing from leaving/entering HK). If you just have an Employment Visa then you need your passport.Originally Posted by sangamvk:
