Pls give me some advice!!!

Dear All,

I am Malaysian, graduated from a university in NZ. I am currently working for Standard Chartered Bank of Malaysia. Indeed, I always want to work in HK. I went to HK in Feb 06 and I attended a few interviews. They all rejected me because I dont hold a valid work permit/visa. How on earth can I get a permit without the company's support?! May I know if there is any company in HK that can provide me with a valid work permit in order for me to work in HK? What can I do to get a valid visa? I am very desperate to work in HK. Pls help me!!!!! I am all fed up...

please, please, no desperation, sounds like you have a good job already and skills to offer. i can certainly understand that belly-deep desire to move out of the place one is originally from, tho..

anyway, HK's like many other locales, empyloyers wanna see you're there in the flesh before making a move. check with yourself if this is something you can do.

otherwise keep sending those resumes from off-shore. if i had a better way to get good work, heck, i'd do it myself!

I cant ask for a transfer because I havent passed the confirmation period and my other colleagues told me that transfer is hardly possible. Which company is likely to employ overseas staff without permit?
