    volunteering

Does anyone have any ideas on where I might be able to offer my time ( I have lots of it) and energy in volunteering? I am an experienced child development and education worker from the UK but everyone I have emailed has failed to reply?!
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated- I am staying in Central
    Regards Twinkle

    Lightbulb Volunteering

I would have thought that any school would welcome your skills. I assist at an ESFschool in Kennedy ( I do have a child there). Or for something completely different my daughters and I help out at the Dog Rescue centre in Pok Fu Lam, you could also try dolphinwatch for something different.

    I know Mother's Choice recruits volunteers :

It's a temporary home for girls facing crisis pregnancies, and is also a home for orphans and children with special needs. I think they have a few locations, and most, if not all, are in Central/Midlevels.

    Good luck!

you can also try po leung kuk: http://www.poleungkuk.org.hk/

it's mostly an orphanage that provides lots of different services to the poor and the needy in hong kong. some of the children there are victims of domestic violence or their parents are in prison, things like that.

you can also sponsor the children, of course, you can visit them as well. i'm thinking of going there over the weekends to do some storytelling.

if you're heading there, do let me know.

    I am interested.

Is there any way that I could become a volunteer there despite the fact that it's already end of June?
