    Lost. umm Information please.

Yeah, So Im pretty much F*****. But here goes.

Im an Aussie and I left like a year and abit ago and moved to China for abit.

Now My next step is to go to Hong Kong.

Sounds pretty easy but heres some problems.

    * Im 19yo and have like 3000 HKD in the bank left.

    * High School Finisher.

    * I know like 1 person in Hong Kong and thats not very well either.

    * No Place to stay and have to find a job.

    The only advantage

    * I have a Hong Kong id card

*Can speak Mandarin and English well, Cantonese slightly off.
Cant write or read chinese. Only English.

So can anyone tell me if i stand a chance of surviving?

Would I be able to find a job? Survive more than a month in Hong kOng?

    Help Appreciated.

Well, you've got the ID so consider half the task already over. (I'm presuming you have a Permanent one)

For a job? you could always ....tutor/teach? or find other jobs in the classifieds to get you going temporarily till you find something more concrete.

tutor and teach? But Im like a high schooler. I have no qualifications.
And is 3000 HKD enough to do anything? Wats the cheapest accomodation one can find in hong kong. I mean, Im expecting rats and shit in an area 2pac wouldnt even dare go. Im keen. As for jobs I looked in a classifieds and you need a diploma to work at maccas as a manager. What the hell can i do?

dude your not being real helpful.

the second thing you mentioned Ive already tried. They (parentals) want me to stand on my own feet. This is the meanest thing they've done ever. They are living it up in Australia while I struggle.

So I dont really need smart asses putting me down.

    Sorry.

look around for youth hostels...they are cheap as chips!

well, there are places like bars/clubs which dont need any experience..and if you want to be a mgr in maccas but no qualifications then start as a crew member first!..then climb up the ladder...the career ladder, that is!

    good luck!!

You might want to put notices in the Park and Shops and offer your services as a private English tutor and charge maybe like HK$100 an hour....it might help...
