teaching music on the side- is it allowed?

    Hi there,
After finishing my degree (Music Education) in the near future, I plan on working in hong kong in the net scheme. I want to know whether I can supplement this income with teaching piano and flute part time out of work hours? From some threads this kind of works seems illegal, according to others it should be fine... any advice, also what do parents pay for their children to have lessons from a professional musician in hong kong?

parents pay... whatever you want them to pay, if you are good. i run a suzuki school (it's just me) and they pay a lot.

I will obtain my art certificate in the near future. How much does parents pay for their children having art lessons? Also, I plan to teach at local art centers.

it is illegal to take up any work outside of the work provided by your sponsor. that doesn't mean that it's not done, but it is done illegally. i'd check out the consequences first and then decide if you are willing to take the risk.
