I've just started looking for a job in the textile sector. Background is technical manager for garments and soft goods. Need some pointers to which are the best agencies to approach.
Thanks

I'd be interested to know too! My background is marketing / merchandising for garments. Thanks.
Do you speak cantonese Sand? All textile companies which I've contacted require that I speak cantonese. And I hardly do!
Make sure you dont need a work permit to work in HK. There are alot of HK people working in garment industry. As for my experiences, the HR will stop looking at your CV if they saw you need work permit because for most of the garment/textile jobs, they can easily get mountains of applications online.
try to look from those MNC with offices in HK, try to get to their local office in your country and maybe there will stand a little bit higher chance.
I am also in searching of jobs here, just as other member mentioned here, you really need to get prepare for the frustration as the people you encountering could be very arrogant and ignorant.
I don't need a work permit and my Cantonese is OK. However, I don't speak Mandarin.
Anybody have experience with the better agencies?
I would just get todays scmp and look in the merchandising and purchasing supplement, Theres a few agencies in there as well as direct job ads.
No idea on if they are good though as its not my industry.
