    PI work in Hk

I'm looking for work in investigation in hk. My wife is working here and I'm here with HKID. Does anyone know of how completive or successful such a search would be. I have 23 years exp as Detective from Nsw aus. Thanks

Go into the security / risk assessment type of business, with your exp shouldnt be a problem.

ICAC, Commercial Crime Bureau as well as the Jockey Club are also possibilities. They will need to see that you are going to be here long term.
For shorter term, wtbhotia's recommendation is appropriate; lots of those type of outfits around.

    What about insurance companies?

Also, pop a private eye ad in the Sai Kung Magazine, loads of tai tais will have you trailing their helpers to see if they're shagging their husbands!!

Obviously if you don't speak and read Chinese then the options are somewhat more limited than if you do. I don't think the CCB or ICAC take new non-Canto speakers these days except in highly specialised roles do they?

You're correct - ordinarily, they dont.
But with 23 years experience, I'm assuming the OP is special kind of guy
Its certainly worth a knock on the door to see what they say...

Better money in the private sector anyways, ppl like the HKJC pay over 100K a month for security management.

Try G4S as well Management and support | G4S
