What is the maximum a worker in HK makes? Like from Security guard jobs, or Waiter or jobs similar to that?

What is the maximum a security guard can make in HK? I heard one guy who makes 17.5k for night shift though i heard the maximum a security guard can make is up to 14k for a day shift and 12k for a night shift. So, can a security guard make as much as 17.5k for a night shift or is it for 24 hour job?

    Thanks.

Most likely minimum wage or slightly above that
$28 an hour is minimum wage.

Anthro, sometimes you ask for lifeguard certificate thing, sometimes guards, waiters etc. are you trying to figure out what you want to do in life, or just asking for your information?

"What is the maximum a security guard can make in HK?"

While it is likely that the vast majority make at or near minimum wage, your question is somewhat in line with "how long is a piece of string?". The maximum a security guard can make depends on how much an employer is willing to pay them. At my building I know that our guards are paid a fair bit more than minimum wage, but they all also speak excellent English, which is something that the tenants asked the management for (which also increased our monthly management fees proportionately to the increased salary for guards with an extra skill set). However, this is rare in HK and pecular to only a few small estates that I know of.

Salary can also depend on whether the guard has any supervisory role. For example, at Parkview, the guards have a variety of ranks with various levels of supervisory duties and corresponding different salaries.

The 'guards' in my building get paid between $8-11k for 72 hours pw. They share night shifts, no difference in pay.

I'm sure there are security guards that make that much but only in unique/special cases, whether the OP will manage to land one of those is another question.
I assume you need to be fluent in Cantonese in most cases btw...
