Hi guys,

I was fortunate enough to land a job in a bulge bracket IB and will be starting in July. I am offered a US equivalent base (US$60K) with sign on and housing subsidy (no housing in US). However, I have heard different things from different people about bonus figures in HK. Some say it is comparable to NYC and others say it is significantly less because of the housing subsidy. Does anyone know if the bonus is comparable to NYC?

I have read though some other posts in the forum and it seems like a lot of guys who are not in IB have commented on the threads. Please comment only if you are in the field and know the real numbers. I will be starting as a 1st year analyst in the traditional investment banking division (NOT sales and trading or IT or operations).

Thanks for all the inputs!!!
