    I originally took up engineering as a way to do some cutting-edge research in a particular field that I'm interested in. I'm majoring in chemical engineering, and based on the information I gathered, chemical engineering can be applied to medical research. This is still something I'd like to do. Unfortunately, I don't see many opportunities for chemical engineers in HK compared to civil, electrical, and mechanical.

    Also, I'd like to have a bit more than chump change in my wallet, which is what lured me into finance. I do not see myself working as an IB analyst for more than a couple of years, and I plan to take advantage of the exit opportunities into other areas of an IB firm. I'm actually more interested in other roles like research rather than the traditional IB analyst positions.
