While they're a merry band of volunteers, most with daytime jobs, they're music lovin' and have fun rehearsing for and staging two very well-received musicals a year - your friend could join their club for HKD100 and "network" socialise, for other more promising pointers.

Enjoy watching their song & dance, but don't know much about professional opportunities in HK.
