Better than paying someone dearly enough and he still won't stop whining about this and that?

Not sure if its a question they're used to thats all, I was interviewed by three different local hr guys for my current role and I was never asked that question.

Thinking about it for all the other roles I've been interviewed for in HK I have never been asked that question.

I always ask the evil questions >:->

"So, your CV says that you're a good team player, can you give me some examples?"
"It says here you have good communication skills - what was your favourite book as a child, give me a quick summary of the story, if you can".

(If someone asked me questions like that I'd die!)

Strange almost on 100% on the interviews I take when hiring (IT positions) ... I always ask such questions.

Guess the difference was that I was being interviewed by locals as opposed to expats.

I for one would love to be asked these kinds of questions! It's sort of like how Google does it - they look at people's work attitudes through what they do at their spare time.

I've had a couple of interviews where I was asked canned technical questions that I swear I found online (MCSE maybe?) How's that supposed to test how well you perform?

    I'm also in IT btw.

    Dumsum, sorry for being OT
