looking for teaching job any help will be great?

    Hi All

My name is Simon Kwan i am a British Born Chinese. I have arrived in HK recently to look for English teaching or tutoring work. I have attended language exchange and joined schemes to help out with local students in the area where i live for the last 3 years in England.

I have completed my 120 hours TEFL course at the end of last year. Even though i have no actual teaching experience i am hoping with the knowledge gained from my TEFL course i can utilize this in a classroom environment. I have had few interviews so far at learning centers and can see that questions they ask is if i have any teaching experience or experience with dealing with little kids which i have non. Really need some help in this area and not bothered if the pay is low as long as i gain experience in teaching. At the moment settled wanting to teach at kindergarten level to gain teaching experience first.

You can try some private tutoring to build up your experience. I'm sure if you price yourself correctly in the beginning (i.e cheap) you should be able to pick up some work.

I run a chat group for tutors / teachers here in HK, you are welcome to join and we should be able to provide you with more information.

Just a word of advice, check your posts carefully for any grammatical errors. I understand this is an informal forum but it looks unprofessional and creates a bad impression especially if you are trying to promote yourself as an English teacher.
