Reliable Recruitment Firm! - Job Hunting...

    Hello,

i am looking for a reliable recruitment firm in Hong Kong. After trying to find a job through webpages, i have to admit, that this doesnt work out for me. Didnt get much replies and just two interviews out of uncounted tries.

Anyone can suggest or tell me some hints about recruitment firms?

Interessting sectors for me would be:

    Business Development
    Marketing
    Wholesales
    Trading
    Purchasing
Consultancy (not in the financial Sector)

    Would appreciate some advises.

I've found Robert Walters to be fairly good.

I need to ask again. I did register for Robert Walters additional i posted my CV online. I did send them an email as well with some questions about how they could help me.

I received an automatic answer i guess, saying that they dont have any available things matching my skills and experience.

Nice try - but that didnt work out well for me. What else can i do now ?

Call them and ask to speak to a consultant that deals in the area you're looking for.

They're never going to contact you unless they have something on the books already that you fit or you're likely to make them a lot of money due to your skills and experience being in high demand.

You need to get a contact name and try and get more info from them about the current state of the job market etc.

we get our bodies from Manpower body shop.

High end, we recruit through descreet headhunters or internal staff for the huge referral bonuses.

I think the OP's fundamental problem is that he would need an Employment Visa, and yet seems to have no particular specialist skills or knowledge which might justify one. It's always going to be hard to persuade an employer to even look at you in that situation.

If thats the case then he's doomed to failure then and thats quoting from experience when I tried a few years back before I finally got residency, Residency and or good skills opens a lot more doors for you in this town.

Why don't you check out efinancialcareers in the relevant sections which interest you and get in touch with advertising headhunters?

    - Do avoid posting your CV on this website though. You don't want the HR department of your current firm to find your CV online.
    - I would avoid Se|by Jenn|ngs if I were you. They had once sent an unsolicited email to my global team the CV of this girl asking if we were looking to hire. You don't want your CV sent everywhere and without your consent.
